Agreement and purpose

These Terms govern your use of Guruv, a dance-practice app provided by GURUV LLC (“Guruv,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the app, you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, do not use Guruv.

Guruv helps you study, loop, slow down, mirror, record, review, and compare dance practice. It is not professional coaching, medical care, physical therapy, or legal advice.

Your content and responsibilities

You retain ownership of content you create or import. Guruv does not claim ownership of content you save, export, or share. You are responsible for having the music, video, choreography, performance, recording, privacy, publicity, and other rights needed for how you use that content.

When recording practice takes, you are also responsible for the location, everyone who appears or can be heard, and any consent required to record or share them. Local content may be lost if you delete the app or data, lose or reset your device, or clear local storage.

Guruv intellectual property

Guruv and its licensors retain all rights in the Guruv app, software, user interface, design, branding, and other proprietary materials. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their respective licenses.

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of proprietary portions of Guruv except to the extent permitted by applicable law or applicable open-source licenses.

Acceptable use

Use Guruv only lawfully. Do not infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, contract, or platform rights; distribute media or generated stems without permission; or use Guruv to bypass DRM, paywalls, access controls, paid access, security measures, or platform restrictions.

Guruv is a practice tool—not a downloader, media-hosting service, social network, general video editor, or commercial audio-extraction service.

Subscriptions and purchases

Guruv may offer subscriptions, trials, introductory offers, or one-time purchases. The applicable App Store or purchase screen shows the subscription terms, price, trial period, billing period, and renewal terms before purchase. Apple processes billing through the App Store.

Auto-renewable subscriptions continue until canceled under Apple’s subscription rules. You manage or cancel them through Apple, and refunds are governed by Apple where applicable. Deleting Guruv does not cancel a subscription. Guruv may use limited App Store transaction and entitlement status to unlock access, restore purchases, and prevent fraud.

If a paid subscription expires, access to paid features may end. Subscription expiration by itself does not transfer ownership of your practice content to Guruv.

Apple and third-party components

App Store distribution, billing, and subscriptions involve Apple. For copies obtained through the App Store, Apple’s applicable terms, including Apple’s Standard EULA, apply where applicable; these Terms do not replace them. Apple is not responsible for Guruv’s own support obligations except as required by Apple’s applicable terms.

Guruv also uses Firebase, third-party frameworks, and machine-learning models governed by their own terms, licenses, privacy notices, and disclaimers. See the Third-Party Notices.

Safety, availability, and warranty

Dance involves risk of injury. Use appropriate space, footwear, warm-up, supervision, and judgment, and stop if something feels painful or unsafe. Timing, beat, metronome, stem-separation, enhancement, and review features are practice aids and may be inaccurate or unsuitable in some situations.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Guruv is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the app will always be uninterrupted, accurate, secure, or error-free.

Liability, updates, and contact

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Guruv is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, media, personal injury, or unauthorized use of media. Nothing here limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.
