Local-First Practice Content

Guruv lets you import videos and audio, create recordings, save takes, generate thumbnails, and keep practice notes. This practice content is stored locally on your device.

Guruv does not upload imported videos, audio, practice recordings, generated stems, thumbnails, notes, saved takes, or practice timelines to Guruv-operated media servers.

Information Stored On Your Device

Guruv may process and store project metadata, selected media identifiers, loop and playback settings, beat and timing metadata, generated stems and caches, recordings, thumbnails, saved takes, notes, progress, app settings, and subscription access state on your device.

This local data can be lost if you delete the app, delete content, clear caches, reset your device, or otherwise remove local app data.

App Permissions

Guruv asks for Photos, camera, microphone, or media-library permissions only for features you choose to use, such as importing practice videos, recording takes, capturing audio, or saving content to your library.

You can manage these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

Purchases And Subscription Verification

Payments and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Guruv does not collect or store payment card details.

Guruv may receive or verify limited Apple transaction, entitlement, product, subscription status, app version, bundle identifier, environment, timestamp, and privacy-preserving app or installation identifier data when needed to unlock paid features, support access, handle subscription lifecycle events, and help prevent fraud.

Analytics And Diagnostics

Guruv may use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, or similar tools to understand feature usage, improve reliability, diagnose crashes and errors, measure subscription funnel events, and monitor performance.

Analytics and crash reports may include app interactions, feature usage, app version, device type, OS version, general region, crash reports, errors, and performance diagnostics.

What Analytics Exclude

Guruv analytics and diagnostics are not intended to collect raw videos, raw audio, practice recordings, generated stems, thumbnails, audio fingerprints, song-identifying analysis, project or video names, practice notes, or media-derived fingerprints.

Guruv does not use analytics data to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell personal information.

Support

If you contact us for support, we may receive information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, screenshots, logs, attachments, and other details needed to respond.

Do not send videos, audio, or other media unless we specifically ask for them and you have the right to share them.

Sharing And External Services

Guruv does not operate a cloud library for your practice content. If you export, share, save, back up, or send content through Apple or another app or service, that service may handle the content under its own terms and privacy policy.

Retention And Deletion

Practice content stored in Guruv remains on your device until you delete it, clear caches, delete the app, reset the device, or otherwise remove it through iOS.

Limited backend, analytics, diagnostic, and support data may be kept as long as needed to operate the app, provide support, protect the service, comply with law, or understand aggregate product performance. Apple keeps purchase records under Apple's own policies.

Your Choices

You can delete projects, takes, notes, and caches from the app; manage permissions in iOS Settings; manage App Store subscriptions through your Apple ID settings; and contact us with privacy questions.

Children

Guruv is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

Guruv relies on iOS app sandboxing, system permissions, local device security, and limited service access controls to help protect information. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If the policy changes, the updated date on this page will change.
